Epic Universe Guide 2026

Everything you need to know about Universal's newest theme park — the most ambitious theme park project in Orlando history. Opened in 2025, Epic Universe brings five immersive worlds to life across a sprawling new campus.

What is Epic Universe?

Universal Epic Universe is Universal Orlando Resort's third major theme park, located on a separate campus south of the existing parks. It opened in 2025 after years of anticipation and represents the largest single theme park investment in Florida history.

The park features five distinct themed worlds connected by a celestial hub, each offering its own rides, dining, shopping, and entertainment. With groundbreaking ride technology and unparalleled immersion, Epic Universe has immediately become the most sought-after park experience in Orlando.

This guide covers everything you need to plan your visit — from which rides to prioritise to the best strategies for beating the crowds during this incredibly busy first full year of operation.

Tips for Your Visit

Arrive Early for Nintendo World

Super Nintendo World uses a virtual queue system on busy days. Arrive at park opening to secure a return time, or you may wait 2+ hours for walk-in access later in the day.

📅

Budget 2 Full Days Minimum

Epic Universe is massive — five fully themed worlds with dozens of attractions, shows, and experiences. Two days lets you enjoy everything without rushing.

🚗

Separate from Main Universal Campus

Epic Universe has its own entrance and parking structure. It is NOT connected to Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure — plan your transport accordingly.

📊

Visit on Weekdays

Weekends draw significantly larger crowds, especially during the first year. Tuesday through Thursday offers the shortest wait times across all worlds.

Universal Express Pass

Universal's Express Pass system works at Epic Universe. On-site hotel guests at Premier resorts get Unlimited Express included — a massive perk worth hundreds per day.

🌧

Bring a Poncho for Water Rides

Donkey Kong Country River Ride and Viking Voyage both feature significant water elements. A cheap poncho saves you from spending the rest of the day damp.

📱

Download the Universal App

Real-time wait times, mobile food ordering, virtual queue management, and interactive maps are all in the Universal Orlando app. Essential for planning your day efficiently.

🏨

Stay at a Universal Hotel

Universal hotel guests get early park admission (up to 1 hour before general public). At a park this busy, that early access hour is invaluable for short waits.

Best Time to Visit Epic Universe

As Universal's newest park, Epic Universe runs significantly busier than the other Orlando parks. Expect crowd levels roughly 3 points higher than what you'd see at the established Universal parks on the same dates — a moderate day elsewhere can be a peak day here.
